How To Change A Flat Tire In 7 Easy Steps

Flat tires can happen at any time and in any place. This means that you have to be prepared and know how to change it. If you continue reading, you will find out exactly that - seven easy steps you can follow to change a flat tire. But before we go into that, make sure you have a spare tire, a lug nut wrench, and a jack stand. Be careful because your car has been owned previously, and the spare tire might be missing.

1. Park The Car In A Safe Location

After noticing that your tire is flat, locate a safe location to park and do the change. A parking lot is a great option, but pulling on the side of the road also works; just make sure you are away from traffic.

2. Loosen The Lug Nuts

The first step is to get the tools and spare tires. Then loosen the lug nuts, but don't remove them yet. Loosen them until they can be removed with bare hands.

3. Jack Up The Car

Get the jack stand out and locate the jacking points on your car. It is very important to do so because if you put it in a random location, you can damage the car. After locating the points, lift the car up carefully.

4.Remove The Flat Tire

Completely loosen the lug nuts and remove the flat tire.

5. Install The New Tire

Line up everything with the new tire and carefully put it on. Tighten the lug nuts until they feel secure.

6. Make Sure The Tire Is Secure

Give the tire a few knocks or even a kick or two. While it may sound weird, this will make sure that the tire is securely installed and won't move.

7. Lower The Car Down

Lower the vehicle and check the lug nuts again. If they are loose, tighten them fully and make sure everything is good to go.
